I joined Connection Capital in 2019 to build the already burgeoning Funds business. Since joining the team I have continued to grow the variety of managers and strategies offered to our clients. The diversification benefit of adding funds to an alternatives portfolio is a key message that runs throughout my decision making process and over the last few years I have had the privilege of working with top performing managers who are specialists in their field, aligned with our clients, with the purpose of delivering attractive risk adjusted returns.
I have enjoyed a wide and varied career, starting out in the challenging world of Investment Banking straight out of Glasgow University, at Salomon Brothers as a graduate trainee in security arbitrage, moving on to Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank where I specialised in structured credit and securitisations. I then moved to Raiffeisen, as head of the London credit team. I made the decision to move to the world of asset management, joining the global manager Invesco, working with private banks and strategic partners, covering alternative asset strategies, bespoke fund solutions and fund-linked structured products.
Over the years I have been lucky enough to have made many friends and develop a strong network of relationships in the world of banking and asset management. Outside work, as well as being the mum to 3 boys, I am a keen follower of motorsport for many reasons I can tell you about if you have a few hours, a yoga fanatic, wild swimmer and I have just pushed myself to take up golf…
